You will remember Didsbury's own, Bubba Janzen, from Rude and Rustic Metalworks. He creates traditionally hand forged ironwork made from locally sourced scrap metal.

This year, Bubba is also featuring live blacksmithing demonstrations at an active coal forge!

The ancient skill of blacksmithing is undergoing a modern revival as homeowners and hobbyists drive demand for custom-made metal art.

Caricaturist, Mark Cromwell from ColorClub. Mark owns and operates Color Club Creative Works in Calgary.

He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the UofC and his portfolios include Murals, Caricature, Illustration, Graphic Design and more.

Get drawn as your favourite character from history - what a great keepsake to take home. You'll be able to find him quite easily - he'll be flourishing a feather-tipped pen!

PRETEND YOU'RE A KNIGHT!
Hey Kids! Do you want to earn the title of a "Worthy Sir Knight"? Then saddle up one of our Stick Ponies and make believe you're a Medieval Knight, competing in a jousting tournament with the Knights of the Round Table!

You'll want to try on a vest of maile too, or a knight's helmet!

You can also join in with the Vikings and take in one of the Kiddie Vik games! Enjoy a game of checkers or croquet with the Victorians. And wait till you see what the fur traders are bringing! Fun for all!

Are you interested in the history of telegraphy - the "Dots & Dashes" of Morse Code? The Victorian Society of Alberta's Telegraph display will be part of the Alberta MTC Line Project this year!

This is an ambitious plan, spearheaded by the Calgary Chapter of the International Morse Telegraph club, to link all the museums in Western Canada that have telegraph displays together across the modern version of the "Victorian Internet"!

Our own Didsbury Museum might even be part of the code!

And our pièce de résistance - our Salute to the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force! The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) has served Canadians in peace and war. It played a vital role in the Second World War, becoming the fourth-largest Allied air force, and reached its "golden age" in the late 1950s.

What is very exciting for all of you will be the flyby of a T-6 Harvard Mk.4, RCAF Serial Number 20377. 377 was built in 1951 by Canadian Car & Foundry T-6 Harvard Mk.4 in Ft. William now Thunder Bay, Ontario. Canadian Car and Foundry (CC&F) built 555 post Second World War for the RCAF and USAF for Military Defense Aid Pact. It was taken on strength with the RCAF at Trenton Ontario on 16 August, 1951 and has spent time at Number 4 Flying Training School at RCAF Station Penhold and at RCAF Station Lincoln Park in Calgary.

Flybys take place around 1:05 on both Saturday and Sunday.
